About Canadian Contemporary Artist, Luke Edward Stripp

Luke Edward Stripp (b.1995 Surrey, BC) is a self-taught Canadian contemporary artist who works and lives in Langley, BC, Canada - the Greater Vancouver region of Vancouver, BC. His work is influenced by many modern art styles such as Geometric Abstraction, Surrealism, and Cubism, with subjects of landscape and nature, portraits, figurative and biblical art.

Luke Edward Stripp engages in the studies of the masters of the arts, and the theories of great minds of human history through books, memoirs, and documentaries.

He would be described as a man of few words who uses painting as his medium to speak to an audience through visual conversation. His ability to transfer different styles from one painting to the next allows for fresh perspectives that keep viewers engaged and curious. His process varies from painting to painting and collection to collection, with no beginning process being the same, just how he intends it to be.

Outside of his studio he walks trails throughout Greater Vancouver, attends museums and galleries, visits libraries and watches sporting events, movies, and television
